Dark Architectural Shingle Roofing with Plywood Deck Repairs

Project Overview

The photographs document roofing work on a property with intersecting roof sections, white siding, a red-brick chimney, and a covered backyard pool. The visible sequence moves from exposed plywood and lighter replacement panels to dark architectural shingles across the photographed slopes. Roof-level views show both the broad shingle fields and the smaller roof intersection overlooking the pool terrace. The deck photograph is an important part of this project story. Several lighter plywood panels interrupt the older, darker deck surface, making the preparation work visible before it disappears beneath the roofing. The later images retain the same roof geometry and backyard landmarks, connecting that preparation to the shingle-covered roof.

Analysis

The roof includes changes in direction, a projecting gable, pipe penetrations, and a masonry chimney. Those features create several distinct edges and junctions within a relatively compact group of photographs. The images show panel replacement or patching at selected deck locations; they do not establish a whole-roof redeck, a moisture diagnosis, or structural repair to the rafters.

Process

The preparation stage shows the roof stripped to plywood, with several lighter panels fitted into the older deck surface. The associated roof-level video records the small projecting roof feature and the boundary between stripped and still-covered roof areas. Later views show dark shingles across the connected slopes, through the roof intersection above the pool terrace, and beside the white gable wall. The brick chimney remains a prominent roof feature, with light-colored metal flashing visible around its base. Close ridge views record the cap shingles and the relationship between the main slope and the lower projection.

Outcome

The later-stage roof has dark architectural shingles across the photographed fields and capped ridges following the changes in roof direction. Against the white siding and fascia, the dark finish makes the intersecting slopes particularly clear. The gallery also retains the plywood preparation view, documenting the local deck work beneath that visible finish.
