Chimney Masonry Repair and White Finish
Project Overview
This chimney project follows masonry work above a gray shingle roof on a cream-sided home. The seven-photo gallery includes close views of the earlier exterior, exposed masonry during scaffold access, and later views of the chimney with a white textured finish.
Analysis
The chimney rises between intersecting roof slopes beside a second-story window and striped awning. Earlier close views show cracking and uneven masonry surfaces. During the work, exposed blockwork and clay flue sections are visible at the upper chimney.
Process
Scaffold platforms and ladders provide access around the chimney while sections of the exterior masonry are exposed. The work photographs show the upper courses and corners at different stages. Later photographs show a continuous white textured facing, a defined top edge, and a light-colored roof-to-chimney flashing area.
Outcome
The later exterior views show a consistent white finish across the chimney faces. The finished appearance coordinates with the home’s light siding and trim, with the chimney standing clearly above the gray roof.
